Coming to Germany

There are many options and opportunities for GUC-students to come to Germany.

As a GUC Undergraduate Student

Each year GUC offers its top ranked Engineering and Management students in the 8th semester the opportunity to do their bachelor's project at a German partner university. The minimum GPA is 2.5. The bachelor's project lasts three months, additionally and depending on the project a (lab) internship from one till three months can be conducted before writing the bachelor's thesis itself. The available timeframe is each year from February till August.
 

Twice a year GUC offers activity weeks for all faculties in different cities in Germany. These courses and workshops contain excursions and leisure activities.

During the GUC summer break, DAAD specialization courses will be arranged by German partner universities and offered to top ranked students of the respective GUC faculty. These courses last three weeks and contain an intensive course, excursions and a cultural program.

Top ranked students are eligible for a DAAD scholarship. The announcement of those specialization courses is run by GUC.

Top ranked students are eligible for a DAAD scholarship for a language course at Ulm University.

As a GUC Bachelor's Degree Holder

As a GUC Graduate Student / Teaching Assistant

GUC master students / teaching assistants of all faculties can do their master projects at a German partner university. The master project lasts six months, additionally a (lab) internship from one to two months can be conducted before writing the master thesis itself. The available time frame is each year from July till February.

The announcement and application procedure is run directly by the GUC. Eligible candidates can apply for a DAAD scholarship (funding period: 6 months).       

GUC MA students being part of a bilateral research project (GUC - German partner university) can conduct a subproject (e.g. experimental parts) of their MA project in Germany. This bilateral studies program aims to establish and develop Egyptian-German research networks and cooperation as well as to implement an International Research Center.

The announcement and application procedure is run directly by the GUC. Eligible candidates can apply for a DAAD scholarship (funding period: up to 3 months).

As GUC postgraduate / academic

GUC PhD students being part of a bilateral research project (GUC - German partner university) can conduct a subproject (e.g. experimental parts) of their PhD project in Germany. It is not relevant, whether the doctoral degree will be awarded through the GUC or the German university. This bilateral studies program aims to establish and develop Egyptian-German research networks and cooperation as well as to implement an International Research Center.

The announcement and application procedure is run directly by the GUC. Eligible candidates can apply for a DAAD scholarship (funding period up to 24 months).
